A day of firsts in Tobago
On Sunday 6 September 2009, children from the Ezekiel Children’s Home, Marian Children’s Home and Grace Children’s Home travelled with Gift For Life Foundation to Tobago for a full day of activities.
For some children, it was their first time leaving Trinidad; for others, their first boat ride. Although the boat had minor technical problems, the children enjoyed the journey and their day in Tobago.
The outing also brought opportunities to learn. On the boat, some of the children explained to others how clouds form and how drinking water can be obtained from salt water. The Foundation’s teachers helped encourage their problem-solving and critical-thinking skills.
