A Night to Remember: Gift for Life’s 2009 Charity Dinner
A memorable evening at Canedo Hall
On Saturday 28 November 2009, Gift For Life Foundation held its Charity Dinner at Canedo Hall, Centre of Excellence, Macoya, from 5:30 p.m. to 11 p.m. Guests enjoyed a buffet of more than 12 dishes and dessert, with a lovely ambience and attentive service.
The evening was packed with entertainment: a DJ, band, steelpan, Christmas carols, modelling, a comedian and Santa Claus. Some 150 underprivileged children attended, with representation from 53 orphanages.

It was an event to remember: children from different homes came together to display their talents to the public as guest performers. They sang “We Are the World … We Are the Children,” danced, modelled and spoke about their lives and experiences in an orphanage. The stage gave them an opportunity to build self-esteem and feel extra special, while gifts, prizes, party bags and dinner added to the celebration.
